Frances Evans is an artist/illustrator living and working from her home in the Dorgogne in South West France. She works in acrylic and pen and ink, using the traditional dip pen and Indian ink, as she feels these achieve a finer result than graphic pens. Her work has been exhibited widely in France and Portugal and a large part of her commissions are animal portraits, although old houses are also very popular.
Frances married her husband, Ian Osborne (a watercolourist) three years ago in their tiny French village after being together for twelve years, and share their small country home with their four Portuguese rescue dogs.
When not at her easel Frances can be found in her secret garden, tending her other passion, growing organic vegetables.
